Beclometasone dipropionate
Indications/Uses
Prophylaxis & treatment of perennial & seasonal allergic rhinitis & vasomotor rhinitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >6 yr 2 sprays into each nostril bid. For some patients, single application into each nostril tid-qid may be preferred. Max: 8 puffs daily.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Infections of nasal passages & paranasal sinuses. Systemic effects particularly at high doses for prolonged periods. Visual disturbance including cataract, glaucoma or central serous chorioretinopathy. Transferring patients from systemic steroid treatment. Abnormally heavy summer allergens. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Unpleasant taste & smell; epistaxis, dryness & irritation of nose & throat.
